Hi, I’m Jessyka 💜

I’m the heart, hands, and boots-on-the-ground behind Dream Big Mini Farm Sanctuary.

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Years ago, I earned my veterinary technician certificate and completed over 1,500 hours working in clinics. While I learned a lot, I quickly realized my calling wasn’t inside exam rooms—it was outside, working directly with animals in a more natural, hands-on way.

What started as a small backyard farm with just a few rescued animals slowly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined. Friends and families began visiting, kids connected with the animals in ways that surprised me, and before I knew it, Dream Big Mini Farm Sanctuary was born.

Today, I run the sanctuary entirely on my own. I care for hundreds of animals each day while also being a mom of four, running a tree service, and working part-time night shifts. Every fence repaired, every structure built, every feeding, intake, and late-night emergency is handled by me. It’s a lot—but it’s work I truly love.

My biggest passion is rescuing roosters. They’re one of the most misunderstood and frequently abandoned farm animals, and they deserve a safe place where they can just be who they are. That commitment has grown Dream Big Mini Farm into the only rooster rescue in California, and I’m incredibly proud of the safe, permanent home we’ve built here for them.

Through storms, power outages, rebuilding seasons, and everything in between, my goal has always stayed the same: to create a space where animals can live freely and people can slow down, reconnect with nature, and feel something real.

This sanctuary isn’t about perfection—it’s about heart, responsibility, and showing up every single day for the animals who depend on me. I’m so grateful you’re here and part of this journey.

Welcome to the farm 💜
